I recently incorporated this really easy recipe on the Squish Marshmallows site, and wanted to add it here too. You only need three ingredients, all of which you can use for other things, and it hardly takes any time at all, so, everyone wins.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 5 cups of crispy rice cereal
- 4 cups of Squish Marshmallows (or around 20 marshmallows), here I used Peanut Butter Jelly Time
- 1/4 cup butter
This will make around 12-15 squares. But, the recipe can also be split in half to 2.5 cups of cereal, 10 marshmallows, 2 tbs of butter.
Have a 13×9″ baking pan ready (if you’re cutting this recipe in half, you can use a smaller baking pan, or, only fill up the 13×9″ pan half way. The ingredients will stick together and can be easily formed!)
In a medium sauce pan, melt the butter at a low heat setting. Once the butter is melted, add in the Squish Marshmallows of your choice. Stir the mixture until everything is melted together, about 2 minutes.
Once everything is melted together, remove the sauce pan from the heat. Pour in the cereal and stir until everything is combined.
Pour out the mixture into the baking pan, and with a greased spatula, press the mixture to form a rectangular shape in the pan.
Let cool and cut into sizes and shapes of your choice! Yum!
