I’m a person who has an incredibly large sweet tooth. So, I’m always in search for a new, unique, delicious place. I went to Treat House on the Upper West Side.
Inspired from their children’s task to raise money for charity, they had a crispy rice marshmallow treat bake sale. After a huge success, they opened Treat House, making gourmet little squares of marshmallow goodness. They also offer bars, giant marshmallows, and cake pops.
You can buy the treats individually or in quantities of 4…so, naturally, I got 4. I chose Chocolate Pretzel (salty pretzel pieces, dark chocolate and caramel, chocolate ganache, a hand dipped pretzel, and sugar crystals), Maple Pecan (maple, chopped pecan pieces, fondant maple leaf), Chocolate Peanut Butter (chocolate and smooth peanut butter, chocolate ganache and a peanut butter cup), and Birthday Cake (cake flavor with rainbow sprinkles, blue marshmallow, and a white chocolate birthday candle).
They were all delicious, but, if I had to rate them in order of deliciousness, I would say: #1 Chocolate Peanut Butter, #2 Maple Pecan, #3 Birthday Cake, #4 Chocolate Pretzel.
They’re also do-gooders. They’ve partnered with The Food Bank For New York City, donating 10 cents from each treat and 1 dollar from every tshirt sold. You can guiltlessly treat yourself while giving back to those in need.
