I might have the world’s largest sweet tooth (I should probably have Guinness World Book verify that). I especially love candy, and have tried nearly every type in the U.S. and U.K. So, when I can find a place that serves treats I haven’t tried yet, I know I have to check it out. I stopped by Bit O’ Sweet in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
This new, adorable little candy store features items that span from goods of local Brooklyn candy makers to jars full of fruity and sour candies. Every detail and selection is chosen with the same amount of passion that the owner has for candy.
There’s also a section of some really original chocolate dipped candies, most I hadn’t tasted before.
Some of the fruit and sour candies are classics, and some are fun and novel such as the sour octopus candies and blue banana.
The chocolates are definitely something to try. One that stood out to me was the Coconut Curry Cashew. These were great. You get the coconut flavor, mixed with a hint of curry, and with the cashew, you just have a great combination.
The Shorts:

The Long and Short: Would I go back? Yes. The bags of candy I got are already empty.
Would I recommend it? Definitely. They even sell mason jars with the unique chocolates, which make a great gift.
