Located right by the water and the Brooklyn Bridge, you’ll find neighborhood gem, Atrium DUMBO in Brooklyn.
The restaurant is set in a loft-like atmosphere with an upstairs overlooking the lower level and open kitchen. It’s a mix of nature, a bit industrial and a romantic garden party with their ceiling-strung lights. I guess you could say you really do feel like you’re dining in an atrium.
I ordered the Atlantic Salmon (salsify, kale, hazelnut brown butter). It was delicious. The kale was cooked, slightly wilted and seasoned. It was my first time trying salsify, which is a root vegetable, tasting similar to a cross between a parsnip, carrot and yucca, and I really enjoyed it. The salmon was tender, savory, well seasoned and nicely portioned.
