Taste Of Gramercy Neighborhood

This past Saturday, Gramercy Neighborhood Associates hosted the second annual Taste of Gramercy Neighborhood, bringing out some of Gramercy’s best merchants. It’s a ticketed event, allowing you an allotment of tastings from the vendors, depending on the quantity of tastings purchased.

I got to be a part of this year’s event, feeding the people my Squish Marshmallows. It was a really successful event, and I had a blast being a part of it and getting to talk to all of the tasters. (Special shout goes to Farm2Me who sponsored the table for me to be there!)

While I didn’t get to attend the food festival as a consumer, I’m pretty sure everyone enjoyed tastings from all the vendors who participated (in no particular order): A Spice Lane, Bedford Cheese Shop, Irving Farm Coffee Roasters, Friend of a Farmer, Big Daddy’s, City Crab, Duke’s, Dos Caminos, Ichabod’s, Paul and Jimmy’s, The Stand, Barbouina, Casa Mono, Bar Jamon, La Follia, FOCO, Aloha Fine Wines and Spirits, WTRMLN WTR, Ainsworth Park, EXKi, Almayass

The Shorts:
Name: Taste Of Gramercy Neighborhood
Location: Irving Place between 17th and 18th Streets, NYC
The Long and Short: Would I go back? Well, hopefully I’ll be back next year as a vendor, but, if not, I’ll get to be a taster.
Would I recommend it? Yes, there was an accessible number of vendors to choose from, so you don’t feel too overwhelmed. But, they’re all serving different items, so, you can get a good variety.

  1. Squish Marshmallows were the biggest hit of the weekend! The Peanut Butter & Jelly inside of a marshmallow were my favorite, along with the S’mores, Banana Pudding and Rocky Road.

Everyone is talking about your marshmallow’s, from the organizers to guests, and somewhere is Whole Foods in between.

Happy to have had you! Good luck with Squish moving forward,

    Garry
