The other night, I went to Montmartre in Chelsea for cocktails. This French restaurant and bar is small, yet cozy with a very inviting vibe. The bar seating is limited, so if you’re wanting dinner, I would recommend sitting in the dining room. But, the bar is great for drinks and snacks, which is exactly what I did.
I ordered the Buzz, Billie Holiday, Buzz, blanco tequila, Drambuie, lime juice and honey syrup. The drink was tasty, slightly sweet and citrusy and totally pleasant. Best part is, there’s a black cherry at the bottom of the glass.
If you’re wanting a snack to go with your drinks, there are some great options. I had to go for the Pommes Frites served with an aioli and brown butter sabayon. The fries were perfectly seasoned and cut wide, but still thin, giving them a great and unique shape. The dipping sauces were lovely too, I favored the aioli.
